Visitors and tourists from Paris and France, when a problem occurs during your stay in France, think : RéclameICI.fr

Dear American or English visitors of our beautiful country France, we are happy to welcome you back after this hard and long period Covid.

When you are in a foreign country, it is always difficult to know what reflex to adopt in case of problem with a brand or a professional. We advise you one : RéclameICI

Of course, for local businesses, you already know the Google reviews and Tripadvisor reviews to evaluate a business or a restaurant.

But you should know that there is a free service (ours: RéclameICI.fr), respectful of your personal data and which aims to solve the problem encountered, by simply publishing your problem on our site.

Then follow the guide (not touristic this one!), and we hope of course that your problem will be quickly gone !

When I told one of my friends that yes, I thought that RéclameICI could help tourists in France, she said:

"But what problems can one encounter as a tourist?"

A flight delay, a cancellation, a strike that disrupts your trip to France, during an internal flight in France or for your return flight, think ReclameICI!

You could have bought your plane ticket from a broker like Opodo -Go Voyages - eDreams (eDreams group), Misterfly, Cdiscount Voyages, Expedia, or thanks to a travel agency like TUI, Havas..., or directly (because you have been scalded by the ping-pongs on the reimbursements of cancelled flights during the Covid pandemic), don't hesitate and publish your claim on RéclameICI. This will allow the professional to be alerted of your publication, and if he wishes to do so, to bring a response. In any case, the public nature of your complaint will play in favor or against the brand concerned depending on its ability to find a solution for you.

Complaints about airports in Paris and in France, it's on RéclameICI

Problems can start at the airport. We have already published many cases concerning Paris Airport (ADP - Aéroports de Paris).

However, it is important to put this into perspective, ADP welcomed 86.7 million passengers in 2022. It is indeed the unavoidable entry point to our country and our capital.

The problems mentioned on the ADP page of our website https://reclameici.fr/brands/paris-aeroport-adp are often related to the security passage with clothes or objects damaged or lost on the carpets. In these cases, the indications given by the airport security service provider are minimal, especially for foreign passengers, who are then unable to claim compensation.

Customs clearance can also be tedious, even for EU citizens with a fast passport.

The border police often only have one counter open, and the wait is sometimes long!

The information in the airport sometimes leaves something to be desired, especially during a strike (and in France, any good social discussion starts by establishing a balance of power, the strike is a bit the beginning of the discussion...)

Even if this is improving, systematic multilingual indications in the airport would be appreciated when this happens.

If you encounter a problem in a French airport, do not hesitate to post your complaint on RéclameICI

But then, not all the difficulties are necessarily over.

Complaints about public transportation in Paris and in France (especially the RER B in Paris), it's RéclameICI

Then comes the moment of pleasure, the meeting with my favorite RER: the RER B (line #SNCF and #RATP) with an accessibility in station leaving sometimes to be desired for all the people who are in situation of handicap or simply yourself dear tourist when you arrive with your four or five suitcases and that you have to enter in the enclosure of RER.

Buying a train ticket is also a hassle, because the number of vending machines is very limited and the counters with a real person to inform you, which is in English, is becoming a rare pearl!

The RER B has the particularity of being managed by two transport operators: the SNCF for the northern part (between ADP Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport and Paris Gare du Nord) and the RATP for the southern part (between Gare du Nord and Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse). As the Orlyval can be used in Antony (92), if you want to go to Orly ADP airport by train, or return to Paris by train from Orly, you have to take the RERB to Antony and then take the Orlyval.

Depending on the situation, you have to choose the right operator for your complaints.

Currently for the transport tickets or cards, the responsable organization is Ile de France Mobilités (IDFM).

As the responsible entity to organize and develop transportation nearby Paris, IDFM should soon be the central point for any issue with public transportation in Paris and its suburbs.

In the meantime though, we advize you to identify ig you can the operator responsible for the transportation (or at least indicate the train or bus line and ideally accurate time and station, directions...)

Complaints about telecom operators in France, it's on RéclameICI

Also at the airport, some tourists activate a SIM card of a national operator.

Orange communications are very visible in the airport terminals of Roissy CDG.

But there can be difficulties with each operator: to obtain a package, a SIM card or eSIM, to access data, or not to exceed the amount granted. Sometimes also the conditions of the operators for a given package can be confusing (even for a French person).

All these reasons make that RéclameICI can help foreigners in their choice and in the resolution of their problems (especially since at the time of writing this article, two major operators: Bouygues Telecom and Free answer and resolve many cases on RéclameICI).

Complaints about our cab driver friends and their VTC colleagues, it's on RéclameICI

Legend has it that Travis Kalanick and his friend Garrett Camp were coming out of the Parisian conference LeWeb in 2008, when they had the idea to create Uber while having all the trouble in the world to find a cab.

What remains true is that as soon as you step out of Charles de Gaulle and look even slightly like a tourist, you get approached by young people asking you "Taxi? Cab?".

Tourists, when you are harassed at the airport ... one reflex: run away.

And always when you get into a cab, specify the method of payment (especially if you want to pay by card) and check that the meter is properly connected.

A cab in France can not theoretically refuse a race because it does not suit him.

Complaints on tourist sites and museums in Paris and in France, it's on RéclameICI

What are the most touristic places in France (and therefore almost in the world, because France is the most visited country in the world, yes!)

Even if my childhood was rocked by Mickey and his Mickey club (poke at the city of Lancieux), I have to say that I would have liked another site to be the most visited in France, but it's Disneyland Paris that comes first.

It is also the first European private tourist destination with more than 15 million visitors.

The Basilique du Sacré Coeur de Montmartre with its 11 million visitors

The Louvre Museum with 7.8 million visitors in 2022.

The Palace of Versailles, its park and its classical architecture attract an average of 7 million tourists from around the world

The Eiffel Tower welcomed nearly 5.9 million visitors in 2022

The Pompidou Center welcomed nearly 3 million visitors in 2022

The Orsay Museum: 3.3 million visitors in 2022

The Mont-Saint-Michel and its 2.8 million visitors in 2022 is coming out of the Covid crisis which, it must be said, had silted it up quite a bit (and the Mont is indeed in Normandy, even if my Norman heart swings between my native Normandy and my adopted Brittany). I take the opportunity here to say to every possible visitor of the place, whether you are a believer or not, visit the abbey! And as long as you let yourself be invaded by the beauty of the place and its spirituality, let yourself be guided by a master speaker. I have fabulous memories of my rediscovery of the place with François Saint-James.

the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie and la Villette : 2 millions visitors in 2022

the Puy du Fou: 2.34 million visitors

the Futuroscope park: 1.9 million visitors

Of course, there is the one whose absence in this ranking is only temporary. Our great and beautiful Notre Dame de Paris

She is slowly recovering from the attack of the flames thanks to the international generosity and which still welcomed in 2018 nearly 13 million visitors!

One of the things that is starting to be addressed, but in my humble opinion still far too slowly is accessibility. If you notice a problem of accessibility in a wheelchair, for your stroller, publish it, you will participate in moving the lines.

If you encounter a problem on a tourist site, make it known on RéclameICI. Not to damage its image, on the contrary, but so that the report gives rise to reaction or even resolution if it is possible!

Complaints about restaurants in Paris and everywhere in France, it's on RéclameICI

We have the best chefs in the world. French cuisine is exceptionally varied. Only in pétanque is our record perhaps more brilliant.

But our way of pleasing the taste buds is sometimes at the level of table service in a torpedo way!

It would also seem that our mastery of the "universal" language of Shakespeare is worse than anything else.

This is because Voltaire's language is earned just like the French heart which will open wide if you express with an accent a few words from home.

A problem at the restaurant, indigestion, even food poisoning, one reflex: RéclameICI!

And, a little advice by the way, when you are approached at the entrance of the restaurant to come and eat, just walk away.

For the rest, RéclameICI will not be able to help you with the problems linked to the use of "pain au chocolat" in Toulouse or "chocolatine" in Paris.

Similarly, you should know that even the French don't understand the number of "kisses" that are customary. Two, three, four, even five (?) starting with the right or the left. Covid killed this practice, but who knows? Maybe it will come back!

What is certain is that despite our arrogance, our chauvinism or our pride, many of us will make every effort to make you fall in love with our country, our culture, and the website that should make your stay easier: RéclameICI !!!

How do you make a claim on RéclameICI ?

Nothing could be simpler:

1°) you create a user access (member of the RéclameICI network of consumers who want a quality customer service !)

2°) you search with the search bar the desired brand !

3°) you fill in as much information as possible about the context of the complaint, paying attention to the public and private fields. Do not insult anyone, and avoid personal information about yourself and third parties.

RéclameICI is not a guarantee of resolution, but all brands are invited to answer and can do so for free.

RéclameICI is a free site for all French consumers (and obviously, for all those who come to our country from time to time as well). Our site is totally free and suggests to the concerned brands to propose solutions to the consumers who publish on RéclameICI. The brands can answer the complaints totally free of charge. There is no constraint, except that to access the personal data of the claimants, it is necessary to create a free pro account allowing an access respectful of the RGPD rules of protection of the personal data of the consumers.
