English Translation : Lastminute - Covid-19: refund of 3 airline tickets
I booked 3 plane tickets for my 2 children and myself to visit my daughter in the United States. At the airport, we were denied access to boarding. Lastminute offered us a review of 2143.89€. I ordered 3 new tickets for July 30th using the credit note and adding 1009.39€. On July 30, 2021, at the airport, we are denied access to boarding again. I contact Lastminute to ask for a full refund instead of a credit note. After trying to contact them many times by phone and e-mail, there is still no progress on my case. Today, December 17, 2021, I call Lastminute again about my case. The agent on the phone tells me that they are waiting for the airline to release the refund. In order to speed things up, the agent asks me to contact United Airlines and Lufthansa and ask them to send a refund confirmation to Lufthansa. I call the airlines. They tell me that no refund request has been made for my file and that normally, it is not for me to contact them but for Lastminute. United Airlines asks me to contact Lastminute again and ask them for the refund claim number because if they really made a refund claim, I should have the claim number. I call Lastminute again. The agent tells me that they are trying to get in touch with United Airlines but the airline is ignoring them. I ask for the claim number. The agent changes her tune: she tells me that this information is confidential. I tell her that according to the airline, it is not confidential information at all. Change of tone again: she tells me that she will make a new claim with United Airlines and Lufthansa and I should receive the claim number shortly by e-mail.
It seems that Lastminute is very dishonest and in fact never made a refund claim. The total amount of the refund is 3153.28€ and it's been almost 5 months that I contact them in vain.
